1. UV Light | Resin is sensitive to UV light which in time can yellow. It is recommended that artwork is kept out of direct sunlight.
2. Cleaning artwork | Once set, resin provides a stunning high gloss appearance, though this can be easily scratched or marked. Should you need to dust your art, solely use a microfibre or soft cloth. Avoid chemicals and abrasive sponges.
3. Handle with care | Resinite uses natural mediums to create our art pieces, to include: shells, stones, shingle, crushed glass and mirror tiles. These can be sharp to touch. Please be careful when handling your artwork and wear thick PPE gloves when hanging.
4. Artwork weight Resin and the boards our artwork is created on can be heavy. Ensure that when you hang your art, you use appropriate hanging system strong enough to hold your art to the wall. Additionally ensure the wall is fit for purpose to take the weight of your piece. Solely hang items on solid walls, avoid stud walls.
5. Responsibility | Once items have been purchased and exchanged hands from Resinite to customer, Resinite is not responsible for any damage of injury related to the artwork or person handling artwork.
6. Storing Temperature | Resin is suitable to temperatures up to 35-40 degrees Celsius. Avoid storing or hanging your art in areas warmer than this, as this may reactivate your resin, resulting in it melting or burning in direct heat.
7. Coasters | Coasters are recommended for cold drinks only. The heat from hot drinks may melt or deform resin on coasters overtime.
8. Storage pots | Glass should be hand washed only and a dry soft cloth should be used to clean the resin lids. Whilst it is ok to wash the bamboo spoon, avoid submerging the handle into the water as this may damage or melt the resin, particularly in warm to hot water
